Happy Tails At Home (Pet Sitting Service)

We're happy to offer pet sitting visits at the owner's home to perform potty breaks, feedings, 30 minutes of playtime, and give medications. This service is open to homes with dogs, cats, little critters (like rodents and lizards), goats, chickens and ducks. Driving distance and frequency will dictate price. Call for a quote

Happy Dogs Specialty Care is able to provide a wide range of care for dogs from standard to special needs. Special needs can be defined as needing medication, insulin injections and scheduled glucose readings, having separation anxiety, epilepsy, or in need of assisted walking for dogs that are blind, arthritic, or use a sling. We accept all non-aggressive dogs, but please be aware that if a dog appears ill, or injured, and in need of medical attention, we will recommend you see your vet first.

All dogs are required to be up to date on vaccines (including Rabies, Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus & Coronavirus, and Bordetella) as well as having flea/tick prevention. If a dog arrives for boarding with fleas, a Capstar flea pill will be administered for an additional $10 charge. A copy of vet records can be emailed to Cori at HappyDogsWNC@yahoo.com (sorry, we don't have a fax machine).

We recommend owners bring their dog(s) bedding and/or blankets, food, and favorite toy. These things help reduce stress and anxiety due to the sense of familiarity while not at home. All dogs will have extra opportunities for potty breaks compared to regular boarding. Most dogs in normal boarding situations are usually able to go outside between 8am and 6pm, then must hold their bladders and wait until 8 the next morning. Since this is a home-based facility, dogs will have extra potty breaks up until 9:00pm.

Last minute cancellations and no-call/no-shows for Happy Dogs Specialty Care will have a $20 fee per dog reserved for daycare, and $30 fee per kennel for each day reserved for boarding either billed, or added to the next reservation. 

This is due to the unlikely ability to fill the spot(s) the same day, and people on our waitlists have most likely found other accommodations. Remember folks, I only have 5 kennels, and Mikey has 3 rooms. So losing a reservation at the last minute without being able to fill the spot hurts.
